The side pockets on this bag fit my hardhat and boots perfectly, so I don’t have to dig through the main compartment on the first night of a roll. I’ve crammed a full 14 days of personal gear in there and the zippers haven’t strained once.
The main compartment swallows my Nomex gear and boots without me having to wrestle the zippers shut, which is a huge win for a 14-day bag. Tossed in my hardhat and it still rides balanced on my shoulders for the hike to the truck.
The zipper runs smooth even when I've got it packed to the brim with my boots and hardhat, which is a huge relief after dealing with finicky bags.
