The Brain

I’ve been tossing in batteries, my headlamp, and a few snacks, and it swallows them all without bulging into the main pack’s space. The zipper pulls are easy to grab even with gloves on, which matters more than you’d think on a fire line.

The lid pocket is perfect for flagging and fiber tape, and the clip on the inside keeps my headlamp from sliding around. Fits right on the shoulder strap without bouncing, so it's been on every fire line shift this week.

Finally got this after months of debating, and it's already earned its spot on my line kit. The organization for small stuff like batteries and flagging is exactly what I was missing, and it sits tight against the pack without flopping around.
